# Assets

> View and manage building assets in AssetOps

The **Assets** section, available at the [building level](https://docs.kodelabs.com/products/assetops/quickstart/usage-workflow.md#building-level), lists all assets for a given building and serves as the central hub for asset management.

Open a building from [Buildings](https://docs.kodelabs.com/products/assetops/resources/buildings.md), then select **Assets** from the building sidebar.

***

## Asset list

The assets table displays key information for each asset. Use the search bar to filter by name or other values. Select **Filters** to narrow the list by category, type, area, or status. Use the column control at the right edge of the header row to show or hide columns.

## View asset details

Select an asset **Name** from the list to open the asset detail page. Breadcrumbs show **Buildings** > building name > **Assets** > asset name.

The page header displays the asset name, a back control to return to the list, and tags such as **Cloud BMS Device** when the asset is linked to KODE OS.

Three tabs appear below the header:

| Tab | Purpose |
| - | - |
| **Details** | Asset fields, technical specs, and related schedules and work orders |
| **Sources** | Data sources linked to the asset |
| **Attachments** | Files attached to the asset record |

### Details tab
