KODE OS includes accessibility support for people with visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive disabilities. Accessibility is built into the platform. There is no separate accessibility mode to turn on.

Current accessibility coverage

Accessibility improvements roll out across KODE OS in phases. Products below have completed the accessibility migration and meet current KODE Labs accessibility standards: This product is still receiving accessibility updates and is not yet fully compatible: Cloud BMS remains available and functional. Some screens or interactions may not yet fully support screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, color contrast, or related accessibility features.

Using a keyboard

KODE OS supports navigation without a mouse in updated areas of the platform. Common controls include: A visible focus indicator shows which element is selected.

Using a screen reader

Updated KODE OS components work with screen readers through meaningful labels, page structure, control states, and status announcements. For the best experience:
  1. Start your screen reader before you open KODE OS.
  2. Use your screen reader’s standard commands to move by headings, links, buttons, forms, and tables.
  3. Use KODE OS in a current version of a supported browser.
Screen-reader behavior can vary by browser, operating system, and assistive technology.

Visual accessibility

Accessibility updates include:
  • Stronger color contrast for text and interface controls
  • Clearer keyboard-focus indicators
  • More consistent component styling and behavior
  • Information that does not rely on color alone
  • Improved readability across updated areas of KODE OS
You can also use your browser’s built-in zoom controls to enlarge the interface.

Report an accessibility issue

If you hit an accessibility barrier, contact KODE Labs Support and include:
  • The KODE OS application and page
  • What you were trying to do
  • What occurred
  • Your browser and operating system
  • The assistive technology you were using, if applicable
  • A screenshot or screen recording, when possible
This information helps the team investigate and address the issue.
