View chart data as a table
Chart widgets offer aView as table option in the widget three-dot menu. It opens the chart’s categories, series, and values as a semantic HTML table built from the same result set as the chart.
Use it when you need exact values or want to read chart data with a screen reader. Building BI renders the table with accessible headers, and you can navigate it with the keyboard.
View as table is available on chart types such as Bar, Line, Pie, Combo, Heatmap, and Time Series. For the full list and steps, see View chart data as a table.
Keyboard navigation
Standard KODE OS keyboard controls work throughout Building BI:
A visible focus indicator shows which element is selected.
In edit mode, additional shortcuts let you select and bulk-edit widgets. See Keyboard shortcuts.
Screen readers
Building BI components expose meaningful labels, page structure, control states, and status announcements to screen readers. Chart widgets are visual by nature. To read the underlying data, useView as table. The table exposes row and column headers so a screen reader can announce each value in context.
Screen-reader behavior can vary by browser, operating system, and assistive technology. Start your screen reader before you open Building BI.
Color and contrast
Building BI interface components use strong color contrast and clear focus indicators. Information in the interface does not rely on color alone. When you choose colors for charts, you control contrast and color-blind discernibility. Keep dashboards readable for every viewer:- Verify that series colors remain distinguishable for people with color vision deficiency.
- Confirm that data labels and legend text keep sufficient contrast against their background.
- Add data labels or reference lines so values do not depend on color alone.
