Categories and issue types for classifying and routing work orders
In AssetOps, categories and issue types are created at the portfolio level and provide a consistent way to describe the type of maintenance job a work order represents.Categories define broad groups such as HVAC, electrical, or cleaning. Issue types represent specific problems or tasks within each category. This structure helps route work to the appropriate teams. You can assign categories and issue types when creating corrective maintenance work orders.Open Categories from the portfolio sidebar to open the Categories & Issues page. Use the Categories and Issue types tabs to manage each list.
A category is a broad work order group shared across the portfolio, such as HVAC, plumbing, or cleaning. Define categories before you create issue types that belong to them.
The Categories tab lists all portfolio categories with search and add actions
The table includes a Name column for each category. Tab badges show the total category count.Use the search field to filter categories by name. Select the header checkbox to select all categories on the page for bulk actions.
An issue type is a specific maintenance problem or task within a category, such as Air flow under HVAC or Leaking pipe under Plumbing. Create categories first, then add issue types under each category.
Select the Issue types tab to see all issue types and their parent categories.
